Support staff at the Polytechnic, a constituent college of the University of Malawi have downed their tools demanding a 75% pay increase.
According to sources, the sup[port staff have vowed not to return to work until their demands are met. This development comes after the lecturers stopped doing their noble job demanding a 113% pay increase.
The campus looks deserted as the library is closed with a few students seen just passing time on the green chairs outside library.
